Rock short 24wrote/recorded a guitar, simple bass, simple drums at 160-bpm. Guitar recorded direct into a scarlett 18i20 then used guitar rig 5 plugin from native instruments. Ezbass for bass. Recording of a day of the dead celebration at the museum of native american history in washington, d. C. (2014) features drumming, flute playing, chanting, yelling / whooping, whip crack sounds. Drenched in natural reverb (recorded from top floor of a circular performance space with a stone ceiling), with lots of low-frequency rumble. Possible use: could be processed for horror ambience.

As i was working in an incidental sound i was continuously recording. All i saved was the ending. 2 seconds. But the sound is nice. Something in-between bass sound and bass drum sound… if you find use of it let me know.

This is a free kick sound i created using a roland 808 drum machine. I then ran it through distortion and compression in sound forge to get this hard boomy crunchy punch. Pitched at c2 for convenience. Enjoy :).

A variation on breakbeat 1,a few more snare hits and an extra kick to shuffle it up a bit. A bit of fuzz across the whole drum mix really does make a difference!normalise for extra volume.

When i came to the strange decision to try recording my poems as songs i looked for ambience around the house. Silver tube inset in wood with mallet to create different singing bowl like effect.

Feedback from messing around with a cloned circuit of the tr-808 bass drum. If decay is extended too far, the circuit gets stuck in a feedback loop and produces awesome deep-bass analogue sine waves.
