The local library has a printer whose noise i thought was quite unique. I forgot to record it the first time, so the second time i checked out books i made sure to record it. The only way to get good classroom ambiance is to record it in a classroom. That's exactly what this is. Recorded in a classroom as the students were studying and the teacher was quietly walking around. You'll hear a few random noises, some papers shuffling, some very muffled dialog, an air conditioner in the background.

Here goes that couple again. This is another day time one so they weren't making as much noises as they usually would. They were going at it for at least 15 minutes and kept it real quiet. Sounds like they didn't really enjoy their pleasure in bed. You can hear the woman curse at her guy. The sex parts are from 2:15-12:45. The clip was shortened and edit with audacity.

This carolina wren was braving a very cold, gusting cold front in early january. Recording made in a small midwestern town using my zoom h4-n recorder and its own internal microphones set at a record volume of 80. **note that since there were some strong north winds, you will hear the wind/roar in the background, but this wren just seemed oblivious to it. .

For "man of la mancha" i needed the sound of don quixote hitting the stage while off stage fighting windmills. I dropped a sandbag a few times, and added the sounds together. You can hear the slight reverb from our walls. I wanted the slight echo effect of the stage, so that the audience thought he really fell.

Stereo sound made by csound where we reproduce a sound that has been previously worked on, in which you hear a glissando that oscillates from one channel to another covered by white noise and we work on it, putting a butterbp filter to be heard more by one channel than another, a reverb and an interaural time delay. All this reflected in a score that our sound sounds 5 times in delayed time intervals.

We hear the size of the space at first then a passenger announcement and eventually trains letting off compressed air, trains arriving and departing and more announcements. Tying shoelaces: a close-up listen to a very subtle sound when two pieces of string is being tied around each other. You can hear the fumbling of hands swooshing the string around each other and a harder sound of when the knot is being pulled so that it doesn't come loose. Can be used for dramatics and overexaggerating. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.

I let off fireworks inside a silo. Unfortunately the best audio i got was from the gopro inside. A long recording on board the "green car" of the jr tokkaido line from atami to shinagawa. A "green car" refers to the first class cars on some long distance local trains. The ride is smoother and the cars are generally much quieter. The cars are generally empty but, this was at the end of a 3 day weekend, so the car was actually quite active (i'll try to get a quiet one soon). You can hear the ticket attendant, the conductor's announcements, station arrivals and departures, passengers getting on and off the train and settling in and having conversations. At some point you can hear the guy behind me eating senbei (a crunchy japanese rice cracker) - that's a little annoying, but there might be some usable bits in there if you're good at editing backgrounds. But like i said, i'll try to get a less busy train next time. Recorded with 2 stereo mic pairs and unedited.

A 1-minute field recording of loyola high school in los angeles. There is a keynote sound of a bell tolling indicating that it is 8:00. There is also a sound signal of the school bell ringing that signals that class is about to start. You can hear people talking throughout the recording. There is a sound of ping pong, as well as the sound of tables being set up in the recording.

This clip was recorded in august 2021 during the evening in a platform near the beach in le grazie, la spezia, italy. You can hear the sounds of the waves clashing with the platform, the people walking around, cicadas in the distance and also the sound of the boats navigating into the port. It was recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). The sound was no post-processed.

I remember i broke something off of a soda can to make this sound. It just sounds like something breaking, could fit in many cases. I recorded my voice while playing freelance horror games; scp-087-b and slender sanatorium. This was so i could get genuine reactions to use as stock voice clips for future use. Some pretty interesting stuff came out. This is when the first "thing" that happens when you start, like hearing the first creepy sound or grabbing your first note.

Recording of an airbus airplane taking off from rickenbacker airport in columbus, ohio. The destination was clearwater, tampa, florida. This was when i left on 21 december for vacation. Recorded december 21, 2022 9:53 pm. You could call this an ambient sound, it starts off as the engine, and the plane taking off, and you can hear people talking. I edited this recording to have it fade out at the end.
