Friday. Random. Why this madness? answer: i have patched s/h (sample and hold) random to doepfer a-160 clock divider and that affects the a-161. For the sake of it i patched one of the gates to the ladik r-110 rnd t/g (random trigger and gate). Result much more randomness than i can use. I can tell you that there is a lot of blinking diodes :-) sounds from doepfer a-110 and 2hp osc and sampler soundmachines ul1uloop.

Inspired by the hustle and bustle of a trip to europe, i made such a short project. After listening for a while, it sounds like advertising music. Same patch as in electronic minute no 226 and 227 but on my real modular. I'm using a filter. Thats why i call this version subtractive. I'm subtracting harmonics from a square wave. Why are 226 blue? probably because i did it at work. . . Listening in bad earbuds. Makes you rise the bass. Lets see if i can make this wave ble at the end! i will slowly fade out the vco with high pitch. At the very end i'm switching the synth off.

Created using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ). Here i have used zynaddsubfx for the hoover type sound and 3 instances of glitch2 vst on the drum loop that i created. There is some compression, stereo widening and side-chaining used also. ( i used a higher resolution samplerate to export this file, which created a further glitch effect on the glitch2 vst,i believe it is maybe hardcoded to 41000hz or perhaps lmms can't handle higher sample rates on vst plugins ).

A soundclip i recorded of myself doing chun-li's bnb link combo (hrk version) on my arcade stick. It helps when learning the precise timing of each button press if i ever forget it.

I recorded sound of my washing machine by korg r-09 put on top of that. I succeeded in recording the sound of waving water with deep reverb and shaking the motor. This sound is trimmed a part of bass.

This is another variation of the deep beat i made using a slowed down amen break layered with other drum beats i made in reason. The samples were layered using presonus studio one.

I couldn't find an actual lion snore so i took to liberty of taking an actual recording of a person snoring and treated it so it could sound something similar to the desired sound.

This is a handbag zipper. First the zipper opening and then the zipper closing. I used zoom h4 handy recorder with built-in microphones. I modified the original sound and added equalized, compression and sound reduction. All with adobe audition 2014.

This breakbeat sequence includes the hot pants break* and the amen break** (besides the four crashes added after exporting from tuareg, mixed with cool edit pro 2. 1). I applied some cuts and two distorsion levels to the last one (i always loved to distort breakbeats). I made it several years ago, i think originally at 120 bpm or 140 bpm. . . I was out walking my dog late one night when i heard and recorded an amazing mockingbird channeling through a variety of imitations.

I unfold a piece of paper several times to get different effects. The idea i had here was someone recieving a letter and quickly open it curious to read what it says. Or perhaps a treasure map of some sort :).

Sound of a seatbelt being pulled and then fastened (clicked in), followed by being unfastened. I couldn't find any with the whirring of the belt before the click, so i recorded one myself. Enjoy. :).
