I used audacity to synthesize the five-tone chime made by the montreal metro's jeumont train element 41. Backstory: the train itself was an mr-63 type train modified by canron circa 1971, adding a current chopper to the train's started system. The chopper produced an 'idle' tone at around 45 hz, and as the train departed, five tones at frequencies of 90, 120, 180, 240, and 360 hz. Originally there were 3 'elements' (a set of 2 motor cars and 1 trailer car) with the jeumont-schneider current chopper (element 40, made up of cars 81-579, 80-040, and 81-580; element 41, made up of cars 81-581, 80-041, and 81-582; and element 42, made up of cars 81-583, 80-042, and 81-584). During the early 2000s refurbishments, element 40 was retired from service to provide spare parts for the other elements, which were then connected with elements of 'normal' mr-63 trains. Only the 81-579 car remains from element 40. Element 41 and element 42 were then retired in 2018 when the other mr-63 trains were retired.

This is a 5 second rendering of the famous 1000hz censoring tone used on tv, movies and broadcasts. It can be cut, looped and used to censor audio that may be sensitive in nature or otherwise not fit for broadcasting. Made the tone using an analog tone/pulse generator fed into a focusrite scarlet 2i4. The sound is very clean (no noise). As this "tone" is fairly easy to reproduce and there is no copyright on it, i'm not going to ask for attribution or anything. Just use it as you see fit whether it'd be commercial or private. I was playing about in absynth and massive and with some samples this evening. Came up with this nice atmosphere. It made me think of a dark / menacing computer room somewhere in the future.

I simply took guitar sample and edited it, then i added an interesting sound sample and made sweet melody with some plugins. The soft which i used is just fl studio. This sound is about 2010.

My bass wobbles. I made them using fl using a bunch of bass samples and overlapping them to wobble. The sound wave was unexpectedly not loud. It was supposed to be extremely loud.

Just one of a bunch of shoe hits on a metal trash can. I used a home-built contact mic made from a cheapo piezo. This was fed into an h4n and edited in pro tools.

Samples takes from chimes made by cutting a galvanized steel pipe into specific lengths, each hung by a nylon string. Chimes were played by striking with a large steel nail.
