This is a squeak sound that i created by pressing a laundry cup together with my hands. It took me a very long time to replicate this exact sound as i had to press the laundry cup in my hands just the right amount to make this exact sound. I recorded this sound with my iphone. I am immensely looking forward to sharing more sounds with the freesound community, especially since i have been a part of this website for over ten years now!.

This is a recording of an operation in a hospital in lisboa, portugal. We needed this recording for an audiowalk that also took place in an unused hospital. I was not allowed to go into the operartion room. I gave the microphones to a nurse that spent 5 minutes for me in the operation room. She did quite a good job. I needed a quick fix for a bomb sound effect, and i think i made this one okay. Honestly, i just went "pkhoooooo" into my laptop mic, bass boosted it, slowed it down, pitched it down, and ran it through a low-pass filter in audacity. This is a short sample from a noise track i just completed. It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). Oddly enough this man does not consider himself a baritone, and his speaking voice is not so deep. This was not modified except with noise reduction, because the air conditioning was audible. It just happens to be the deepest sound i've ever heard him make, and he wasn't awake. So it wasn't a moan, or a groan, or a gasp. Please tell me what you think it is. I called it an exhale, and yeah, i don't think grizzlies typically go this low.

Capoeira mestre calango was nice enough to do a couple of short recordings on the berimbau for me. A berimbau is a one stringed instrument with the string made from the inside liner of a truck tire, it has a claxia(sp?) a shaker with it and is modulated by placing the gourd against the stomach and removing it. Done with hdp2 and two sennheiser mics 66 67, was in 24 bit 96khz, downconverted to 16b at 44. 1, a relatively clean recording at a very high level.

This is a great clear and loud recording of a cat purring for an extended period of time with no obtrusive noises in background. Rip pozzo, whom the purr belongs to. He was a very affectionate cat and purred if you so much as stared at him. Happened to catch this sound one night while alone at home with the cat.
