The recording was made from a small kitchen measuring 3mx2. 5m during a heavy downpour outside the window with thunderclaps. Gradually the rain gets quieter. Recorded with rode tng-2 microphone and zoom h6 recorder.

We have a really old garage door that apparently is not very well lubricated. The squeaking adds a nice creepy feel, recorded using a zoom h4n field recorder.

The reason it is monoaural is because it is easier to record singular sources in monoaural without having too much stereo variance in the recording which can if improperly recorded cause clipped audio on one side of the channel (though this reduces the width and dimensionality of a sound sample - this also makes it easier for (independent) game developers and film projects to place the sound.

Recorded the whole seven to eight minutes long show in a relatively secluded location, so there is minimal to none audience in the recording. While recording birds at the south sutor above cromarty, black isle, highlands, scotland on may 7th 2014 about 3pm a raf sea king came along to practice cliff rescues nearby to my annoyance so recorded it instead. It hovered behind the trees nearby before heading towards the cliff did a lower and lift and then swept round in large circle before heading back over the sea to the base at lossiemouth.
