Produced this sound for a horror short story i worked on. Evil entity was scratching from inside a closet. This was recorded on zoom h4n.

Fireworks recorded amidst the buildings of an apartment complex. Lowpassed around 1khz. Slightly expanded dynamic range. I cut as many incidental noises as i could hear on my headphones (cars, neighbors, etc) but there's still some residual hum from an electrical box that was nearby as well as wind. A simple sine-generator piped through a slew of wacky effects automated with randomized lfos. I added some cabinet emulation to give it a 'living room' feel but left it dry enough to add additional stereo/reverb processing. P. S. It loops cleanly. Software: bitwig studio.
