In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window. The sample was recorded using the built-in stereo microphone of a zoom h4n recorder. It was slightly processed to remove unwanted low and high frequencies which were not related to the actual recording. While making an ambient track simulating a fortune teller's caravan, i designed 3 sounds in pro tools by layering and editing presets within ambience and soft pads. They add a bit of magical flare when the tarot card reader turns over a card. This sound can be used for any kind of transition, item acquisition, quest accomplished, or other quick sound effect which needs a light, magical quality. Dubstep bass: 110 bpm wobble at 1/8th note, half of the samples as a sine lfo and saw lfo descending. Sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2. Random presets with lfo settings on key parts, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down.

Your stereotypical wind chime sound effect. Used a lot for transitions into dream sequences and flashbacks in movies and films. I took a very fast recording of someone hitting some orchestral chimes, slowed it down by over 200% and added some harmonic excitement and equalization in post production. Tools used:- usb logitech microphone (no lies, seriously used this $10 mic)- fl studio 12 by image line- vitamin by waves- dynamic eq by izotop. This series is done through layering and processing many samples of drum sounds i synthesised using various plugins namely xoxo's vst's and zynaddsubfx mixed with some old hardware samples i made a long time ago. There are 4 packs of the same series : perc snare kick and hats all using the same process.

This is a remix of hangover nightmare. Wav from kyster. I remixed the sample to join a project/dare called the continuum-1(a never ending project). The sample i used:. Www. Freesound. Org/people/kyster/sounds/146116. I used fl-studio and the following effects:forma-8mrdonaldand echolive, a delay unit for live applications. All echo effects are performed live.

A synth chord i placed in fl studio. C a f c. Using a saw square and pulse pwm wave for combo. Then put a sweeping band pass filter from top frequency to bottom frequency. Then i put a panner with the speed lfo sweeping from fast to slow. Next the right amount of reverb. Finally some copmression and normalizing. Using sound to reach out to angels.

I have a lot of old hard drives, some of which are still working and others are damaged. My project is collect the sounds produced during start-up. To do this i use a digital recorder zoom h4n using the two incorporated microphones and two 'diy'ed contact microphones additionally. This here is the sound of a western digital caviar 32500 working fine.
